At the Scioto County Juvenile Court, we’re here to support young people and their families. Our goal is to guide, protect, and provide a fair process for everyone involved.

We handle cases involving young people, such as juvenile offenses, truancy, and custody matters, always with a focus on understanding and positive change.

At the Juvenile Court, we handle a wide range of cases to support and protect young people and their families. Our cases include:

Custody Cases: Resolving disputes over the care and guardianship of children.

Abuse, Neglect, and Dependency Cases: Working with Scioto County Children Services (SCCS) to protect children in unsafe situations.

Delinquency and Unruly Cases: Addressing youth offenses, truancy, and behavior issues with a focus on rehabilitation.

Failure to Send and Contributing Cases: Ensuring compliance with school attendance laws and addressing parental responsibility.

Numerous community stakeholders and agencies give their time and expertise to enhance the lives of Court-involved youth, connecting them to services and supports as well as educational and developmental opportunities.

It is the goal of the Scioto County Juvenile Court to provide care, protection, and best interest for the children of the community. Provided through programming, education, and community resources.

Pro se custody forms are available for a $5.00 charge per packet. By choosing to file pro se you are acting as your own attorney. You are expected to provide all necessary forms in the proper manner.

Failure to file all necessary forms properly could result in the forms not being accepted.
